The first is hyperspectral imaging (HSI) with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and the other is HSI with high-resolution panchromatic imaging (HPI). HSI and SAR fusion exploits different phenomenologies from distinctly different sensors. HSI and HPI fusion optimizes their superior respective spectral and spatial information. Examples are illustrated using field measurements as well as simulated data. Fusion of SAR and HSI data is established at feature level. The fusion results showed reduced false detection and confirmed target detection in the SAR image with background characterization and material identification from HSI. Fusion of HSI and HPI is shown at both data and feature levels. The combined high-resolution spatial-spectral analysis is illustrated for enhanced target identification.

Multisensor Fusion with Hyperspectral Imaging Data: Detection and Classification
■ We present two examples that show how fusing data from hyperspectral imaging (HSI) sensors with data from other sensors can enhance overall detection and classification performance. The first example involves fusing HSI data with foliage-penetration synthetic aperture radar (FOPEN SAR) data; the second example involves fusing HSI data with high-resolution imaging (HRI) data. The fusion of HSI...
متن کاملObject level HSI-LIDAR data fusion for automated detection of difficult targets.
Data fusion from disparate sensors significantly improves automated man-made target detection performance compared to that of just an individual sensor. In particular, it can solve hyperspectral imagery (HSI) detection problems pertaining to low-radiance man-made objects and objects in shadows. We present an algorithm that fuses HSI and LIDAR data for automated detection of man-made objects. LI...
متن کاملOne method for HJ-1-A HSI and CCD data fusion
HJ-1-A satellite, developed by China independently, was equipped with two sensors of Hyper Spectral Imager (HSI) and multispectral sensor (CCD). In this paper, we examine the benefits of combining data from CCD data (high-spatial-resolution, low-spectral-resolution image) with HSI data (low -spatial-resolution, high -spectral-resolution image). Due to the same imaging time and similar spectral ...
